Abstract

This research focuses on the study of environmental literature, which emerged in light of a modern ecological theory rooted in the postmodern era under the umbrella of cultural studies and cultural criticism. It arose as a response to the growing environmental crisis and embodies writings concerned with the issues of the environmental crisis and green cultural studies. Furthermore, the research explores the key references that contributed to the emergence of environmental literature, emphasizing the essential criteria required for distinguishing environmental literature from traditional literature that merely describes nature.
