About the Journal
The Journal of Basrah Researches for Human Sciences is a peer-reviewed scientific journal issued by the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah, Iraq. It was established in 1988 and transitioned to electronic publishing starting in May 2026. The journal aims to publish original scientific research in the fields of humanities and social sciences, contributing to the advancement of academic knowledge and the service of society.
The journal adopts a double-blind peer review system in accordance with internationally recognized academic standards to ensure the quality, integrity, and credibility of published research. It is published on a semiannual basis (two issues per year).
The journal follows a full open access policy, providing free and unrestricted access to all its content for reading and downloading. The journal retains copyright of published materials, and no part may be reproduced without formal written permission from the editorial board.
