Publication Malpractice Statement
The Journal of Basra Researches for Human Sciences is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all necessary measures to prevent any form of publication malpractice. Authors submitting manuscripts to this journal must ensure that their work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
1- Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
- Authors must present accurate and original research.
- Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable.
- Proper acknowledgment of others’ work must always be provided.
- Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and relevant funding sources.
- Data must be reported honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation.
2- Ethical Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers
A- Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and unbiased peer review process.
B- Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and must not use unpublished materials for personal research.
C- Editors and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when necessary.
3- Handling of Misconduct
The journal takes all allegations of misconduct seriously. In cases of suspected malpractice such as plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical research practices, the editorial team will conduct an investigation in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). If misconduct is confirmed, appropriate actions will be taken, including article retraction, notification of the author’s institution, or restriction of future submissions.
